Elsewhere, I saw it posted that the Nosferatu movie is an event to dress for like the Barbie movie was. Twentysomething goth me would have been all over this idea.
Back when I had nothing and no obligations on xmas, I went to movies that day dressed as close to in theme as I could for what I wanted to see. Tickets were matinee all day and they had double features.
Fiftysomething goth me is still all over this idea. However, these days movies at the theater trigger some nasty migraines. The kind that give all the queasiness and stumbling instability of a some-too-many celebratory bender with none of the fun parts.
I still have faux (or are they) fangs, I-don't-drink-...wine... glass, and high-collar coat. Buffy will have to slay someone else who's out playing a vampire. I'm slaying at home.
Don't worry, I'll catch Nosferatu on streaming like most everything else. Praise the Internet!
